* Address: Tra Que hamlet, Cam Ha commune
* Historical events:
Tra Que is a land with a rich history and cultural traditions, associated with famous vegetable cultivation.
From September 1964 to mid-1968, Tra Que was a liberated area. During this period, the people of Tra Que were determined to stay, fought against the enemy to keep the village and achieved many achievements. After the General Offensive and the Tet Offensive in 1968, the enemy continued to sweep into the village, burned houses, destroyed fields, shot innocent people, forced them to live together, and isolated them from the revolutionary forces.
In early October 1968, a company of South Korean soldiers entered the village of Tra Que and established a strong military post in this area to hold and control the Hoi An Northeast Corridor. This military outpost consists of 8 bunkers, and the enemy has laid mines and explosives densely distributed around the checkpoint. The troops regularly deployed here consist of 120 soldiers and are equipped with powerful firepower.
After a period of preparation, on the night of November 8, 1968, the army and the local guerrillas organized a battle against this post. After 45 minutes of fighting, our army wiped out all the enemies here, and collected and destroyed many enemy equipment and military equipment. In addition, during the General Offensive and Tet Offensive in 1968, Tra Gui was also one of the places where the frontline headquarters was located to organize attacks on the enemy in the inner city of Hoi An.
